Incorporating the School Cup Challenge, this short coastal course is perfect for students, children and those looking for a relaxed way to be part of race day.
Whether you run, jog or walk, the focus is on participation, encouragement and enjoying the experience together. Every entry helps support vital medical research in our local community.

School Cup Challenge
The School Cup Challenge is a competition held within the 2km Beachside Dash Fun Run and is a great opportunity for primary school children to represent their school.
To participate in the School Cup Challenge:
- Participants must attend school in years K–6.
- For your school to be eligible to participate in the Schools Cup Challenge, a minimum of three students must register from your school and participate in the 2km Dash event.
- At registration, you will be asked to nominate your school, and this will automatically attach your entry to the school team.
About the School Cup Challenge
The competition is open to primary school students only during the 2 km event.
The School Cup Challenge winner is determined by the aggregate time of the three fastest runners from each school.
The winner of the School Cup Challenge will be announced at the end of the event.
School Cup Challenge Trophy and $500 Cash
The perpetual School Cup Challenge trophy is presented to the winning school. The winning school also wins a cash prize of $500.
The prize money will be transferred from SSMRF to the winning school via internet banking.
Please note that students who wish to compete for the race prizes must attend the Beachside Dash; no other time tracking will be accepted. The race event and timing must be completed during the designated event timeframe. The judge’s decision on the winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
